BRADLEY V

A timeless masterpiece born from harsh off-road experiences.

The "BRADLEY 01" four-wheel drive wheel from 4x4 Engineering Services was introduced in 1983.

### Core Material and Manufacturing Specs

- **Material**: Aluminum alloy (light alloy disc wheel).

- **Construction**: 1-piece (monoblock) low-pressure cast aluminum structure.

- **Manufacturing Process**: Low-pressure casting for the standard BRADLEY V series.

  - **Note on Variant**: The BRADLEY V Evolution uses the proprietary **MAT PROCESS** (a hybrid method combining casting with spinning/forming on the rim, developed with Enkei). This provides rim strength comparable to forged wheels while achieving significantly lighter weight (e.g., 6.07 kg for a 16×5.5J wheel in some specs).

- **Key Feature - Knurling (Bead Seat Processing)**: Applied to the bead seat area (also called "laurette processing" or anti-bead slip knurling). Prevents tire bead slippage (tire spinning) under high rotational torque or extreme off-road conditions. Standard on many models, especially 6.0JJ, 6.5JJ, and inset -5 equivalents (e.g., FACE2/FACE3 designs).

- **Design Philosophy**: Simple 5-spoke layout for mud/debris shedding, open face to avoid clogging, function-oriented for off-road durability (rally/trial tested since 1988 Paris-Dakar origins).

- **Certifications & Standards**:

  - JWL (Japanese Light Alloy Wheel standard).

  - JWL-T (truck/van enhanced standard where applicable).

  - VIA (Vehicle Inspection Association) load ratings (P for passenger, T for truck; varies by size, e.g., P-620KG to P-860KG, T-700KG to T-955KG).

  - Exceeds basic JWL in some variants (e.g., Evolution pursues lightest-in-class with high rigidity).

### General Performance & Durability Notes

- Engineered for harsh off-road environments (racing, trials, rock crawling, high torque).

- Proven in real-world events (e.g., Paris-Dakar origins, Asia Cross Country Rally for Evolution variant).
